I'd walk across fire to watch Eastwick

This series is definitely growing on me. It has everything I love in a series. It has its campy random moments that can make one smile. It has camp moments that make me smirk, as well as romantic moments that make the coldest of hearts swoon. Most of all, it holds a mysterious secret that unravels little by little each week.

This is not of a story of three women who fall into strange paranormal occurrences, but it's is a story of how those events and their new found gifts of power are connected with the new guy in town, Darryl Van Horne played by Paul Gross.

Darryl is a charismatic man you can't help but fall in love even though he has a sense of arrogance about him. One moment he can be giving and kind, and the next he can be threatening old ladies. But, we won't get into that.

So who is Darryl? what does he want with the town of Eastwick? and how do these three women from different walks of life fit into his master plan of things?

It has been hinted he was here before and three other women know exactly whats going on. One is dead, one has amnesia and the other is a crazy woods lady who a tad on the feisty side!

This past show didn't reveal too much on the main story, but instead focused on the relationship between the two characters Joanna and Kat who have been caught in a love triangle. Kat is resisting the urges she has for Joanna's love interest while the love interest is not being shy about his passion for Kat.

The episode ended with someone being tossed into a fire inside a coffin while spectators watched in excitement, and a death of a character that was foreseen by Roxie's visions.

I certainly cannot wait to see how this series unfolds!

Here is a flashback of a Eastwick random moment:

Stargate:The Drama

Let me be the first to say that this show is pretty good. I think I might even like it more then sg-1! Even though there are few off world missions at the moment and no sign of a "bad guy" or protagonists, I think this series is going to turn out okay.

Right now in the series, There are only a handful of episodes with a great lead in 2hr episode. I must confess, I did watch the introduction 2 hour episode three times. When I heard they were going to make another series, I was expecting a flop like Atlantis(which did have it's good points, but didn't hold my attention long), but instead I saw a great introduction to a whole new side of Stargate I'd never think I would see. It was like watching a mesh of shows like Battlestar Galactica and Star Trek:Voyager dashed with a Stargate element.

The neat gadget that the show introduced too is the Kino, a small orb that takes readings around it's environment as well as visual recordings. This cool gadget is mostly seen being used by Eli, one of the main characters who happens to find himself solving a ancient riddle embedded in a online game.

Eli, a math wizard MIT drop out, lived at home with his sick mother. He played this online game and solved a puzzle that Dr. Rush couldn't and soon he finds himself on an adventures of a lifetime. Basically, he gets a visit from Jack O'Neil and get beamed aboard a spaceship and brought to another planet to help Dr. Rush figure out how to get their Stargate to dial the much anticipated 8th chevron. Then, while eating a nice dinner, the planet is attacked.

Everyone has to leave the planet they are on due to a attack on the planet and Dr. Rush decides not to dial earth and instead dials the 8th chevron address which puts them on to this ship that seems to be falling apart.

This is were the change in the Stargate usual format happens. There is little offworld exploration and alot of character drama and subplots going on. SyFy channel took stargate to a different level and created a dramatic sci-fi series. So far, the main bad guy is not present.

But my opinions so far on notable characters...

Dr Rush is a jerkwad who is trying to get power over the crew in one way or another. In fact, I think he may be "the traitor" that Samantha Carter asked about in the beginning of the series.

Col. Young is a good actor and I hope he stays in the series. He seems to like Eli over Dr Rush more and will probably try and get Eli more in the mix with Dr Rush as Young doesn't trust Dr. Rush as far as he can throw at this point.

Eli- great character. I like how the writers put in a normal everyday non -military character that the general public can relate to.

Ok I will comment on the other characters as the season goes on.
